The Courtyard

Subject: The Courtyard Sat Aug 18, 2012 10:26 pm

I walked out of my cabin and into the courtyard. Eh, it was quite the sunny day. I sat down on the edge of the fountain. The water splashed me a little, but I didn't mind. I took my my iPod and put one ear bud in and left the other one dangling. I looked down at my wrists... Meh.

Chris walked in, wearing a Union Jack shirt with the sleeves ripped off, his sword in his holster, wearing ripped skinny jeans and beat up old Converse. He was playing with a knife, grinning at his handiwork, his hands were getting quicker.

I looked up at the two guys that walked in. I saw some dude I didn't know.. And Chris. I smiled a little to myself. I put my iPod away and walked over to him. "Heyyyy Chris!" I giggled to myself.

"Hey Mandie!" Chris hugged her, smiling, it felt like it had been ages since they last saw each other.

I hugged him back! He smelled good. Yum. I pulled out of the hug. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!" I frowned a little bit.

I laughed and hugged him when he picked me up. "Yes, I know I'm like a twig. I can't help it!"

Some time after the events at the lake, I walked back to the courtyard. I was tired, but it was such a lovely day, and it'd be a shame to spend it indoors. The fountain sparkled in the light and caught my eye. With my powers, it'd be entirely possible to just nap in there. The idea intrigued me. With a grin, I pranced over and jumped inside, splashing about like a small child. The water was cool, but not overly so. I found a nice place to lie down, right behind the ring of thin waterfalls that cascaded down from the upper level of the fountain. It was slightly shaded, so I needed not fear a sunburn, and there was exactly enough room for me to curl up and nap. I did so, and drifted off into a pleasant sleep before long.

I'd originally gone to my cave to sleep, but woke up a bit later. I teleported from the ocean to the fountain, and looked around. I saw. .you ha e got to be fucking kidding me. Lorelei was asleep in the fountain. I created a Celestial bronze spear in my hand, and jabbed it directly at her heart. That ought to end my problems with her.

So there I was peacefully resting and not causing any trouble, when all of a sudden I woke up with a goddamn spear in my heart.
Well, it didn't actually kill me. My wonderful self-preservation power caused my body to melt into water around the would-be injury, draining my energy. I scrambled away, coughing, and stumbled to my feet. "THE FUCK!?" I spluttered, and brushed my hair out of my eyes. Oh, Kelsier. That explained it. "I take it you're a wee bit angry with me, then?" I asked, with a rather exhausted little shrug.

"A fuck for a fuck, dear." I said, reacting quickly to this power preserving her. Thag probably took a good deal of energy, so I tworled the spear around, holding it by the tip again, and started whacking at Lorelei with it. She'd obviously try to dodge or something, which would taje up more enrgy, and eventually she'd tire out enough for me to dominate her.

I blocked the shaft pffchffft of the spear with an open hand, and it stung my palm horribly. I just didn't have the energy to dodge all fancy-like right now. "Oh, that's what you want? Come back tomorrow, I'm a bit tired right now." Damn, what had I gotten myself into this time? There wasn't much of a point in messing with Kelsier's head, since I couldn't actually drown him, so why had all that stuff in the lake even happened? I really wasn't sure, but despite the shit I was in for now, I didn't exactly regret it.
