Demigod Form

  1. Full Name:
Our character's full name is Anatkah Thompson. However, Anatkah does not like to use her last name as it references her father... and her father is a painful subject for her because she never really found out how he died or what really happened to him. Instead, she just uses 'Whisper' or her given name.

  2. Nicknames:
Anatkah's most common nicknames are 'Shade,' 'Shadow', or 'Whisper'. 'Shade' is because Anatkah's favorite book is The Princess Bride and in Buttercup's Baby, Waverly gives Fezzik the nickname of 'Shade' and that name fits her own personality the best. 'Shadow' is because Anatkah rarely goes into bright sunlight or light places. She prefers night to day and will often sneak out of her cabin at night to roam and be alone. However, Anatkah usually goes by 'Whisper' because it is her favorite song, though she rarely shares this information with anyone. Most people think it is because she rarely speaks above a whisper and Anatkah does not correct them.

  3. Age:
Mental age or physical? Anatkah is physically fifteen years old, though her mental age can range from eight up, depending on what mood she's in. If she is with someone that she feels comfortable with, she acts a lot older and more mature than she really is, giving the impression that she's been through a lot. Her personality is dark and reserved, and this is when it usually comes out the most. That, and when she's on her own. If she's scared or extremely hyper, she'll be bouncing off the walls and appearing to be having a bang up time. This is a defense mechanism that she uses to hide how she really feels when she is having a moment of insecurity or doesn't know how to adjust to a situation.

  4. Years At Camp:
Anatkah hasn't been at Camp for too long, just over three months. She just slipped quietly in one day during the dead of night. Nothing eventful made her entrance into the full-fledged life of a demigod and, because she is happiest when she's is on her own or with just one other person, most people don’t see her and she is careful to keep out of sight as she doesn’t like mixing with people because they make her nervous.

  5. Picture:

  6. Quote:
    "Did you ever know me?"

  7. Theme Song:
"Never Surrender" ~ Skillet is Anatkah's Theme song.

  8. Favorite Song:
"Whisper” ~ Evanescence is Anatkah’s favorite song.

  9. Favorite Movie:
Her favorite movie would have to be 'Hero', which is a Chinese movie that takes place during the Qin dynasty and tells the tale of an unlikely hero. She loves the film because it makes her feel hopeful for her own future: A man that starts out with evil intentions, but who's journey turns him around in the end. It is action packed, which she likes, but it also has a more serious implication, which makes a perfect combination for her.

  10. Favorite Color:
Anatkah's favorite color is black. She likes to say that she likes black the most because it holds infinite possibility, which is definitely part of it as well as the truth. However, she also feels that the color reflects a lot of herself and the own darkness of her soul. She feels that she is a terrible person who has done horrible thing in her life, even if she can't remember her past with total clarity. Black represents her own confusion and internal conflict. If one were to piece the hints together, they could form a very dark and ad picture of what Anatkah has become and the life she lead that took her there.

  11. Hair:
Anatkah has jet-black hair, which one of her friends once described as being blacker than night. It falls to just below her shoulders and she usually lets it hand lose unless she is going into combat, whereas she ties it in a braid to keep it out of her way.

  12. Eyes:
Erin has dark brown, almond-shaped eyes. They appear almost black when she is frightened or sad; and, they turn an earthy brown when she is content or happy. Her eyes have a certain sparkle in them when she is happy or amused, especially when she is trying not to laugh.

  13. Body:
She stands at five feet, six inches. She stopped growing when she was fourteen to her great relief, though being on the tall side when she was a kid had definite advantages. There is a barely noticeable layer of muscle to her that shows that she isn’t as weak as she may seem. She’s naturally slim with curves in all the right places. No matter how much she eats, her weight remains a solid one hundred ten. Her skin is extremely pale, though she does spend time in the sun. She doesn’t burn, she just doesn’t tan either.

  14. Tattoos:
A hint of her shadowed past, Anatkah has the image of a running gray wolf tattooed directly over her heart. It's about the size of a kitten's head and very well done with exquisite detail and piercing gray eyes. The fur of the wolf is dusted by a light covering of snow and dark grey with a white chest and a white splash on the forehead. It's mouth is opened, red tongue and sharp teeth exposed, and tail raised as if in greeting. For all the world, it seems to be running towards home.

  15. Piercings:
Anatkah’s ears are pierced and she normally wears diamond studs. She’ll wear something else if she has to, but considers earrings to be impractical.

  16. Style:
Anatkah doesn’t really have a specific style. She wears black tattered jeans, used sneakers that she got from a donation center for kids who didn’t have much, and dark t-shirts. Her t-shirts usually feature some band that she is into at the moment or something simple and expressive.

  17. Personality:
She isn’t very funny or outgoing, even when she is in the company of friends and feels comfortable in the environment that she is in. Instead, she tends to be solemn and reserved, withdrawn. While there are large groups of people around, she tends to recede even further into the background and tries to hide away because crowds and loud noises put her on edge. Anatkah is very insecure, which isn’t all that difficult to see.

  18. God Parent:
Anatkah's mother is Bast, Egytian goddess cats. Bast and James met at a club one night and never saw each other again. When Anatkah was born, she delivered the girl to her father to raise on his own. It is more than likely that she didn't discover what had become of her daughter until she went through the lists of new campers at Camp Half-Blood. Upon seeing the strange girl, she looked up her parentage and instantly recognized her father, even after all the time that had passed. Upon discovering her child all over again, Bast instantly claimed her daughter before retreating from her life again. Anatkah herself has never met her mother.

  19. Mortal Parent:
James Thomson was Anatkah's father. James never really got over Bast and when she gave birth to Anatkah and gave her to him, he went through a dramatic series of changes. The first thing he did was to settle down and become less wild and willful. Even though he and Bast hardly knew each other, he was convinced that he was the only one for him and spent the rest of him life waiting for her to return. She never did, but he never gave up hoping.

  20. Date of Birth:
Anatkah was born on Wednesday, April 30th, 1997 at midnight.

  21. Powers:
She can summon cats to her aid when she’s in trouble five times a day for half an hour each time. Anatkah can also understand and communicate in the complicated language of cats and sometimes purrs when she is really happy. This, unfortunately, does not happen often.

  22. Fatal Flaw:
Anatkah never forgets. She has a crystal clear memory, often remembering things which should have been long forgotten. Even after Erin's death she still has vivid flashbacks and sometimes has trouble distinguishing the difference between reality and present, past and illusion. Because of this, she is hard to predict and sometimes rubs off as being emotionally unstable. However, this is also why it confuses her so that she can't remember much of her life before she woke up in a mortal hospital from a several month long coma. The doctors assured her that she would get her memory back with time and she is constantly having flashbacks.

  23. Other Flaws:
Anatkah is too hard on herself. She often feels like a failure and is terrified of letting down the people who she cares about and who care about her in return. It is too easy to make her feel bad about herself; and, if she does something that she regrets, she will spend days kicking herself about the error. She can get extremely nervous and jumpy when she is around crowds, though; ironically enough isn’t very easily intimidated or frightened of anything else. Anatkah is reckless to the point of appearing to have little regard for her own life, sometimes worrying people that she might be suicidal. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Within her is a steady core of resolve never to surrender and never to give in to the darkness that surrounds her.

  24. Weapon(s):
Anatkah uses a Celestial bronze sword named 'Destroyer'. She doesn't really know why she gave it that name, only that she homes that it will help her destroy her enemies - namely monsters and anyone or anything that hurts her friends. She is very protective of the people she care about.

  25. Pets:
None. Anatkah does not have the time nor ability to successfully look after a pet for the moment.

  26. Talents/Skills:
Even though Anatkah tends to be on the modest side and acts as though she has little talent of her own, this actually is not all that far from the truth. She excels at whatever she tries her best at, but there is nothing that she is better at above all the rest. She is what he needs to be, a gal of action and one of the moment. If there’s anything that she can say that she does really well in, it would be concealing her emotions. Her face is a mask that he has learned to make totally impenetrable. To those that she cares about, she lets down her defenses enough to let them know that she isn’t a monster… that there is still some humanity left.

  27. Biography:
Anatkah lived a pretty normal life for a demigod who was unassuming of their role in the world. She was a wretched student and had serious dyslexic challenges. There were few students that she connected with and since she preferred to spend her time alone, she never rose on the social ladder. Her father, James Thomson, was killed in an accident when she was ten though no one ever explained to Anatkah exactly what happened. Her father's sister, Georgia Thomson, became her legal guardian after the accident. The two never did get along and Georgia was convinced that this was solely Anatkah's fault for not being the perfect child her 'poor sister' deserved. Oddly enough, Georgia and James never got along when he was alive, but now that he was dead, his sister suddenly took a fond interest in him.

The victim of cruel bullying at the school her aunt sent her to for being so different, Anatkah was diagnosed with Depression at the age of eleven years. This again, was assumed to be her fault. Her aunt took the Depression as a sign of weakness and that something was drastically wrong with the child and viewed her as an embarrassment to the family. Because of this, she pulled her out of school when she was just thirteen. Anatkah was solitary by nature, and spent most of her time worming her way out of lessons and wandering the forests and wild places of her homeland, looking for adventure, so that change was not overly dramatic to her life.

Over the years, she became very strong with expert sword fighting skills, developed through years of monster attacks even without being properly trained. Georgia didn't tolerate the attacks, but there was nothing she could do to stop them. In the end, she did the only thing that she knew how to do and Anatkah was thrown out. With nowhere to go and no other living family relatives, she moved in with her boyfriend, Erin Wolfe. He was also a demigod, a son of Makaria. Erin and Anatkah had known each other since they were children and had become closer still by virtue of attending the same school. When Anatkah was taken out of school because she was having difficulty managing her Depression, he didn't give up on her the way her aunt had. During her isolation, Erin was her constant companion as soon as the bell rang at the end of the day. Her aunt disapproved of their relationship as it progressed, but there was nothing she could do about it. The spring that Anatkah turned thirteen, the attacks began in earnest. Having two demigods live so close to each other is never ideal and the fact that they were displayed near inconceivable prowess only drew more dangerous and powerful monsters to them. It was on a rainy, midsummer's day that her life shattered.

Anatkah and Erin were attacked by a manticore while they were about an hour away from their nearest safe-house. While both fought bravely, the battle drew a hydra to the scene as well. Anatkah managed to kill the manticore while Erin tackled the far more deadly enemy. He got slightly distracted, checking to make sure that Anatkah was okay when the maticore disintegrated, and got hit on the shoulder by poison that the hydra had sprayed at him. Anatkah was just barely able to kill it while Erin lay dying. He knew that the end was still a long way away, so he made his final request. He asked Anatkah, his girlfriend, to kill him. She didn't want to, but there was no way to save him and neither of them wanted him to suffer. With a heart that was in the right place, she became the one to end his pain. Anatkah stayed in Virginia long enough for the funeral, but left to make her way to camp almost immediately afterwards.

In the beginning, Anatkah arrived at camp when she was thirteen and a half years old. She was an orphan, had seen the person closest to her die at her own hands, and was struggling to control her own mind. It was not a pretty situation and, in the end, she tried to take her own life after several months at Camp. However, Anatkah was not accepted into the Underworld. Cast out with her memory wiped by the Lethe as punishment for her crimes, she was forced to wander the earth in search of a new body since her own was damaged beyond repair. At last, she came upon a girl in North Carolina who had been caught in her house during a fire. The girl was two age her senior and had breathed too much smoke, and went into a comma soon after being brought to the hospital. Anatkah seized the opportunity to switch places with the dying soul of the girl and woke in the mortal world several months later. Alive.

The girl’s parents (Anatkah found out later that her name had been Melody Winters) had perished in the flames and Anatkah had nowhere to go. When she had taken possession of Melody’s body, their forms had merged and Melody now resembled Anatkah very strongly and this change strengthened as the months went by. Soon, the last traces of Melody vanished and Anatkah had adopted her old appearance again. However, she had one major problem: She could not remember her past.

You see, Anatkah died, but was not allowed to complete her journey. Because she had been to the Underworld and had tried to find her eternity, she was not permitted to return to the world of mortals with those memories intact and was wiped clean of them. She does not remember Lethe, Cerberus, Asphodel, or Judgment… and nothing of her past either. This was delayed, however, until she found a body, and up until that time she had her memories and her mind intact, and it was only when she woke in the hospital did it really take effect. The only thing that resembled memory, even vaguely, was a compulsion. And that compulsion was telling her to go North; to a place called Camp Half-Blood. Somehow, she was able to get there without too much trouble. A few monster run-ins, but that was to be expected in her situation and she soon figured out what she was for the second time. With this revelation, a switch seemed to turn on in her brain and she started to have flashbacks of her past. Frightened and confused, she knew that her time was up and completed her journey to Camp.

She has been at Camp for several weeks now, adjusting and trying to figure out what is wrong with her and trying to deal with it the best she can. Her flashbacks can be triggered by anything, though whatever it is was usually important in her past and provided the initial energy to unlock that particular memory.

  28. RP Example:
Anatkah and Gilwailia, for that was the tree's name, conversed in low tones for several minutes, backs to the boy standing only a few feet away. Gilwailia seemed curious about him, but didn't seem to think that the child was of large consequence. Upon hearing that he was a son of Sky, she only shook her head in contempt. "The child will know nothing by sadness," was all she said and Anatkah left it at that. The conversation endured for a while more, but eventually, they reached a mutual understanding.

She nodded to the Gilwailia and the ancient spirit receded back into her host tree. With a sigh, Anatkah turned to address the boy, Mason or whatever his name was.

"Look," Anatkah said, trying not to sound exactly the way she felt. "A sign is a ticklish business, and can be taken any way one wants to. If you think it was something important, then that's exactly what it was. As for me, I think that it was nothing more than a lightning strike." She fished a stray twig out of her wild tangle of dark hair. "Now, if you will be so kind as to excuse me, I have business to finish."

Without so much as a backwards glance, the daughter of Bast hurried off.

  29. Other Notes:
Anatkah often gets confused between past and present, reality and illusion. Because of this, she can sometimes be hard to understand and rub off as mentally unstable. This is far from the truth: She just gets very confused due to factors beyond her control.
